I am in the best mood today! My amazing husband got up at 6:45am this morning to drive an hour away to get me my very first, all mine, don't have to share it at the gym, ELLIPTICAL!

I know, I know, hold your applause please! Ha ha. I am super excited though. It retails for $1,000.00 But believe me I didn't pay anywhere near that! He just called and hes on his way back home! But that's not the only reason I am so happy today. My littlest son snuggled in bed with me after Kyle left. It was so nice. I never really fell back to sleep, just laid there enjoying his company and periodically patting his back. Now my joy as a mother continues as 4 out of 5 children play in the basement together running a pretend restaurant. The 5th child was having a rough morning and she is sitting with me on the couch while I write my blog, drink my coffee and occasionally gaze off at the Christmas tree with a snowy scene out the window behind it. It's a good day for sure!
Back to the topic of the Elliptical, I set a goal for myself back in Yakima, that if I could workout 3-4 times a week at home (running the roads, or doing workout videos) that I could get a gym membership. I followed through and with my mom that became a reality. Now after the move I don't have the time or money for a gym membership but I said if I went to the gym regularly then later I could get an elliptical to have at home. Well I followed through and now I get another reward! It's an amazing feeling to work towards a goal and then enjoy the reward of it. I have several rewards set up along the way for my weight loss. The first being the 60 pound loss reward of getting to dye my hair black! So many people say "But oh your blond hair!" Well I am the one who has had to live with this blond hair for 27 years and I think if I want to change it I will. If you don't like it well then lucky you, you don't have to look at me! :) The biggest reward I have planned for after my full weight loss is to take a cruise! That reward I came up with about 7 years ago, but I think I should follow through with it. I have also been trying to come up with a reward for when I hit 40 pounds lost, which is 5 pounds away. I haven't really appreciated where I have gotten so far. I lost 35 pounds in 3 months. That's a huge accomplishment! Yet I just haven't seen it as that and have been discouraged that I am so far away from my final goal.
Well my husband will be home shortly so I am going to do some vacuuming and preparing for my new present to me! :) That and apparently the children need to be fed again! Ha ha.
